Table Settings to be Inspired By
Designing a wedding palette, and bringing an entire wedding aesthetic to life is one of the most exciting parts of wedding planning! Everyone has their own unique style and personality, and
Style Idea- Elegance
To create an elevated, elegant tablescape, the key is to use a variety of textures within a single palette, so each moment on the table stands on its own, but contributes to the whole, without feeling busy.
A variety of textures in this pink and white color scheme make this layout stunning. A velvet napkin over a patterned china plate, contrasted by bold, black silverware, with a textured glass, allow each item on the table to have its own beautiful moment. Photo by Linden Mckay Photography.
Style Idea - Go Bold
While the last few years in the wedding industry have been marked by minimalism, greenery, and lots of white, we love seeing the new, bold and colorful trends coming back to have their moment.
To nail a bold color scheme, it’s good to have a variety of colors that compliment one another (think 5-10 colors, versus the standard 3-5) with a neutral piece to balance them, like a white or black plate.
Style Idea - Less is More
Simplicity in design should never be mistaken for blandness. A simple table setting utilizes fewer accessories, but allows each item to speak for itself, and stand on its own amongst others. We love a simple, clean palette to ensure every detail shines.
When planning a simpler table layout, think of using a variety of textures within a single color scheme to create dimension and warmth without getting overly busy.
Gold bud vases filled with happy flowers scattered across the table next to tea candles in mercury glass add lots of color, dimension and texture throughout the table, without making it overcrowded. There is a surprising amount of detail in every individual piece, but it still keeps a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Florals by Wildmoon, Photo by Taylor Hassebroek.
A great way to make a memorable table is to fill it with personal touches, and sustainable items! Instead of florals, this couple opted for potted plants they rented, which added so much visual interest to the table alongside beautiful stoneware plates. This beautiful spring table is brought together perfectly with an arrangement, delicately placed candles, textured plates, and personalized orange wedge place cards. The antique style cutlery with a patterned white plate are beautiful. The pops of orange in the floral arrangement are repeated at each setting, creating an absolutely unique and stunning setting.
